I started doing permanent makeup in 1994 using a machine. At that time I injected anesthetics into the skin of my clients which generated trauma, and I used colors that I had to mix to get the desired tone.
I remember the day that I met Alexis Lawson for the first time. It was back in 1997 in San Leandro, CA when she introduced me to her products with pride.
She opened a new needle and taught me how the Softap hand method worked. It was surprised because what she did on my skin didn’t hurt at all.
The fact that I wouldn’t need to inject anesthetics into my clients anymore was something fantastic. I knew that if I used a less traumatic method, plus the numbing cream, I would reduce my client’s inflammation and downtime and It meant that everybody would be happier. Two weeks later, I signed up for my first Softap class.
All these Softap benefits that Alexis told me back in that day, are the benefits that I promote today.
THE MOST NATURAL LOOKS
What I have liked the most since the beginning are the individual hair strokes and feathered effects that I get with the Softap needles. Anyone who’s seen these results agrees that this is indeed the most natural look in permanent cosmetics.
With the SofTap® hand method, we can control the pressure that is applied to the skin and control the pain that our clients feel. Just decreasing the pressure and slowing down our liftoff, we decrease our client’s pain sensation.
FAST HEALING TIME
Because SofTap® is so gentle, less trauma is generated in the skin and a less inflammatory process is developed, which is reflected in a faster healing process and more pigment retention.
In addition, we strictly use the SofTap® post-treatment ointment (Recover-All) to expedite the healing process. It is fabulous! Recover-All traps color into the skin and begins the healing process immediately.
LITTLE OR NO TOUCH-UPS
Performing the SofTap® technique correctly, we do little or no touch-ups.
The method is gentle enough that the reticular and papillary layers of the dermis are not traumatized, generating less bleeding. Remember that blood washes away any color and brings immune cells that engulf and eliminate the pigment from the skin.
The pigment is placed on the surface of the skin's dermal layer and allowed to sink lower into the dermis, making the procedure permanent.
With the Softap hand method, the color pigments won’t be applied to the skin until we roll and lift the needle assembly off of the skin.
Let's suppose that you set your needle assembly onto the skin and decide that that's not exactly where you want the color to go down, then no problem! Just take away the needle assembly from the skin and no color will be deposited. It means that you can place the pigment exactly in the place that you desire.
During these years I’ve witnessed the progress and development of the Softap Needles and Technique. Nowadays, Softap offers multiple needles, for the traditional Softap and microblading method, to perform numerous effects and individual hair strokes with different thicknesses to get more natural results.
These advances and constant innovation in products are essential to provide our customers with the highest quality and guarantee of our work.
