Quick tips on how to select the technique, needle and color for your client's eyebrows

You are an artist who has many tools and colors to use. How you use them defines your style and makes the difference.
When a client comes for an eyebrows procedure, many factors influence the technique, the tools, and the color selection like:
- Her style and preference: natural vs. sophisticated
- The amount of hair in her eyebrows: abundant vs. scarce
- Her skin type
- Her current hair color
- The kind of procedure: New vs. touchup
Her desired effect defines the technique and the needle you want to use.
- For individual hairs strokes with the microblading technique, use the curved configurations: 6 f, 6r, 13 u, 14 c, 17 c-nano, and 16 f.
- For shading eyebrows, use the needles of 14 r with the traditional Softap technique.
- For defined and compact eyebrows, use the straight tips 9 and 12 with the traditional Softap technique.
If you want to get a very natural effect
- The beginning of the brow should be the lightest part, the arch area is the darkest part of the brow, and the brow's tail should be in the middle.
- To simulate this effect, pass over the front of the brow the least times, the tail – slightly more times, and the arch the most times.
- Do not put a definite/harsh shape in the front of the brow; this makes an eyebrow look artificial.
What about the color?
Facts
One thing to keep in mind is that one out of three women color their hair.
Many women do not keep the same hair color for their entire life.
Suggestions
- If your client changes her hair color frequently, the best thing to do is to go by the color of the hairs in the eyebrow area.
- If you want to get a shaded effect, choose a color that is lighter than those hairs. It makes for a natural, undetectable look.
- If you want to do individual hair strokes, select a color that matches her natural eyebrow hair. It is better to choose a or warm color. If you want a cooler effect, add 1 part of Brown Sugar to 9 parts of a neutral color, but do not use a cool color alone.
- If you want to achieve a solid effect, select the color that complements her skin tone.
- For Caucasians, select neutral and light colors
- For Hispanics, choose a neutral dark or any warm color.
- For Asians, select a neutral and dark or a cool color.
- For African- Americans, select a warm color.
